I have gone through some of my old photographs and found a few. Attached
is a copy of the YP I did my training in. The silly looking bloke in the
front is me! (Lichting 70-3). A very good friend of mine Kees Blonk is sitting
up top. I have more photographs including accidents of YP's during exercises.
I just have to find them, but as soon as come across them I will send them
to you. Just some personal information if you are interested. I migrated
to Australia in 1973, worked as a boilermaker for a little while and then
went into construction and mining construction as supervisor and as field
engineer. In 1984 I decided to go to university to study Civil Engineering
and graduated in 1988. I took on a position as Civil/Structural Engineer
with Gladstone Port Authority and I am still with this organisation. If
you are interested the Port Authority has a web site called www.gpa.org.au.
We are located in Central Queensland on the east coast of Australia. The
climate is the best there is, ie tropical and always we always have a beautiful
blue sky.I live about 10 km out of town on a 2.5 ha property with my wife
and three daughters (16,15,12 years old). Hobbies are too many including
wood working, restoring stationary engines, wild bore hunting, camping etc.etc.
I am writing this letter in English because it is a lot easier for me. If
you like you can return in Dutch because I can still read it well.
